GOAL

To reach potential players who were interested in online poker, promote their unique features, and encourage sign-ups and deposits for their platform.

STRATEGY

We identified our key demographics and segmented the audience into different categories, including:

  • Poker enthusiasts
  • Online gamers
  • Entertainment seekers
  • We highlighted the thrill of poker, the variety of games available, and the potential for winning real money through our captivating and visually compelling ad creatives. Further, we developed a comprehensive full-funnel strategy to capture the audience interested in playing Poker by running campaigns across distinct objectives - Installs, Registration and FTDs (First Time Deposit).

    We implemented our approach as follows:

    • ACQ  Acquisition with upper funnel events like install, signup and lower funnel events like FTD
    • REM Remarket all users who have engaged but not installed, clicked on ads and more.
    • RET   Retention is broken into two, one for new registered users and one for old dead users with different content
    • REC  Recall lift is a consistent genre of 2-5% of the budget to ensure good reach for social engagement

We also looked at different demographics, such as age, gender, and location, to further refine our targeting.

    One of the key aspects of our strategy was using generic terms related to poker. This helped us capture a broader audience, including those who may not be familiar with the specific brand of the app. We found that targeting keywords such as "online poker," "poker games," and "poker tournaments" helped us garner the best results.
